When Should I Change My Air Filter?

For most homes, we recommend every 90 days. If you live with pets, kids, or have sensitive allergies, we recommend changing your air filter at least once a month to ensure your HVAC system is functioning properly and keeping your air clean. Changing your filter regularly not only ensures you’re breathing clean air but also ensures your HVAC system is functioning properly. 

What Type Of Filter Should I Be Using?

According to The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Engineers (ASHRAE) recommends a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) 6 or higher. While many homeowners tend to choose MERV 8 filters. Many homes can filter out contaminants with MERV 8 to 13 (hospitals use MERV 14 to 20).
